For the Love of Family & Cooking
This warm classic was conceived from an attraction to the earthen, southwestern décors often found in Arizona. “I really like Mediterranean-influenced styles and adore those colours,” recalls one happy client. “When I explained it to the kitchen designer she shared with me some tremendous insights. Now everyone is coming to see my kitchen.”
Feeling boxed in with tired oak cabinets and a dated sunshine ceiling, flows were freed, enlarging the kitchen by incorporating the old dining room and opening access to the great room. Desiring simply more to accommodate the kids and now grandkids, a love of cooking made a larger work area the top priority-one where they could entertain family within a beautifully functional space.
Complementing the warmth of oak hardwoods, mitered, recessed-panel, maple cabinetry features two delectable finishes with black glazed wall cabinets in a Toffee stain and an island and bookcase of deep charcoal. Contributing to functionality and quality design, storage capacities include built-in wine racks, multipurpose bins, and spacious pullout drawers amidst variable height cabinetry with ample counter space.
Seeded glass inserts, a custom copper canopy, and the jewel tones of Vicenza Gold granite offer glitter and shine beneath linear rows of pot lights that afford excellent task lighting. Adept at meeting, if not exceeding, all of the customer’s needs, the kitchen designer adds, “Renovations can be stressful, but we try to make this creative transition as easy and as fun as possible.”
