Initially our client asked us to replace the cabinets in their current configuration. However, after working with us for some time, they decided that a change in cabinetry alone would not suffice. The cabinets were old and wasted space, the island too small. The sink, situated in an awkward location, invited awkward moments. The space defined dysfunctional and needed to be completely reimagined.

First, we worked with the architect to restructure the room, moving walls to facilitate a better flow through the kitchen, gracefully turning the corner into the breakfast bar and pool room.

Then, we designed every cabinet as a drawer. Rather than reaching to the back of the cupboard or opening a door and sliding out a shelf, each cabinet is a drawer with modular containers for everything. Truly a place for everything and everything in its place.

We added premium appliances including two flush inset refrigerators, two fully integrated Wolf warming drawers, two dishwashers, one integrated into the cabinets, a steamer and microwave drawer, and a full size wine fridge.

Finally, we added exquisite finishing touches like stainless steel counters with integrated steel sinks and a seamlessly flowing stone application creating an unbroken waterfall effect over the island.

We refreshed the appearance with modern cabinets and state of the art appliances. With a large family the kitchen sees a lot of traffic, so we revised the floorplan and doubled-up on appliances and sinks to significantly improve flow and appliance accessibility. And, to compliment the kitchen’s revised utility with a little flair, we finished it all off with a beautiful glass mosaic backsplash.

The results are a study in high utility beauty.

Rosiris Amaris is a roof and floor client. She is married to Daniel. Together they have two kids. She has been through 13 loan cycles with Opportunity. She is thankful because these loans have served her as a constant help in her business.

Rosiris has a business making and selling Peto. She prepares it and cooks it herself. Then she goes out in the streets to sell it in her neighborhood. She’s a hard-worker with a persevering spirit. This is a big reason for the success she has had with this business.

She applied for a roof and floor loan for 1,500,000 pesos to improve the roof of her house and make more space in her house for her family.

Rosiris is thankful to the house improvement program, as she has already been able to make significant improvements to her house little by little. Thanks to the organization, she is halfway to fulfilling her dream of having a well-constructed house.

Deny is married with Rodrigo Antonio Castro they have three children is really a great Family!!!

Deny is a client of opportunity International She is in the Solidary Group called “Vencedores of Membrillal”. Membrillal is a small town close to Cartagena this she has the business of food fast and Pizzeria the name is “Asados clase A”.

This Family worked building for in your house and they are enjoying a new House, they have a proper place is great blessed.

In July, Deny decided to participate in the Roof and Loan program to improve her bath room and floor for room and bedrooms. and because of the intensity of the rain, they were sick for the ground wet.

Through the program, she was able to take out a loan for 1,500,000 over 15 months to improve her house. This enabled her to remodel the bath room and put a new floor making it safer and more sanitary for her family.

Deny expresses her gratefulness for this program that has improved her quality of life. Her dream is to finish the rest of the house and continue to grow her business.

She wanted a traditional design and was concerned about being driven by a designer’s stylistic preference, so our designer worked to find options within her budget and suggested ideas that fit her taste. In the process we:

• Vaulted the ceiling, adding a sense of spaciousness and making room for a dramatic hood and backsplash
• Relocated and enlarged the window, centering it in the dining area and adding a vibrant natural source of light
• Installed deep cabinets and drawers, including spice drawers, to maximize the limited space
