Our client used to feel boxed-in and isolated in their dated kitchen, so we opened walls to both the living and dining rooms and updated the kitchen to the clean, contemporary look that they desired. A stunning multi-level island, finished with 2.5″ thick granite, culminating in a cracked glass topped cylindrical bar draws guests into the kitchen from the newly opened family room and echoes the design of the cracked glass dining table.
Lighted shelves artistically suspended over the peninsula of rift cut oak cabinets form a non-intrusive but functional divide between the kitchen and dining room. And, a gourmet wine unit and storage cabinets elegantly hide a structurally necessary portion of the dividing wall.
In this exquisite reimagination we transformed an outdated, isolated kitchen into a luxurious hub for family and friends.
